J.M Construction's story began in 2013 with its owner, who had the idea to form a small company that would serve the public in the local area. Over the years, that idea has evolved into a well-established Chartered London Design and Build company that delivers an excellent service centred around our clients requirements, priding itself with the highest levels of craftsmanship.

With a combined experience of over 40 years in the industry, our dedicated team of construction professionals is committed to delivering the best possible service we can. We understand the importance of transparency in this industry, which is why we promise to keep you involved and updated throughout the process, with regular work schedules, reports, and onsite meetings we aim to work together every step of the way.

At J.M Construction, we operate an in-house policy, meaning all of our work is carried out by our own tradespeople and not subcontracted out. Our projects are managed using our ISO-compliant management systems and quality procedures to ensure we deliver the high calibre workmanship we promise.

Initial Consultation

One of our trusted professionals will visit your property to gain an understanding of your project and vision. Together, we'll determine the next steps required.

Concepts and Initial Budget Costs

Following the initial consultation, we'll provide you with first-stage concept drawings and initial budget costs. We'll discuss these during a second consultation in person to ensure everything is clearly understood.

Pre-Construction and Project Planning

We know that thorough planning is crucial for the success of any project. We provide detailed programmes of works, pre-construction phase plans, and construction phase plans to ensure everything is mapped out and everyone knows their role before any work commences.

Starting On-Site: Construction Phase

Our team of professional tradesmen and dedicated site managers will undertake the works on-site. We follow all drawings and programmes of work meticulously, ensuring high-quality workmanship every step of the way.

Internal Fit-Out Works

After completing the construction phase, we move onto the finishing stages. Our trusted craftsmen and finishing foremen work together to bring the project to completion, following all specifications from the initial stages to maintain J.M Construction's high standards.

Quality Control

All of our projects are subject to our ISO-compliant quality control procedures. Our delegated site managers and trusted trade professionals carry out these procedures on-site to ensure that the finished project meets the high standards we promise.

Completion and Handover

Once the project is complete, it's now yours to enjoy! We guide you through the entire property and show you how to use your new home. Additionally, we provide you with copies of operations and maintenance manuals so that you can easily find things when you need them. Finally, we issue you with all of the required warranties and certificates to guarantee satisfaction.

How We Work

Pre Construction and Planning

Each project we commit to taken through a pre-construction phase which includes a budget tender, information schedules and pre construction planning. This part of the phase is vitally important to ensure that when we come to build the project we have all of the information we require to enable us to achieve the goals you are looking for. We involve all our clients in this part of the process to get your ideas onto paper so that we can then translate these into designs and drawings that can be used on the site. An appointed project manager/Architect will take you through this stage and they are very helpful and experienced in this part of the project.

Construction Phase

J.M Construction is ISO9001 compliant company and this ensures we have the correct quality control procedures to ensure high quality is delivered on all of our projects. Our in house trade teams and craftsmen work alongside our highly trained site managers who all have the same goal in mind. To ensure that we build what our clients are looking to achieve. We do this by working together as a team and ensuring that we have the upmost respect for the works we carry out and our clients. Throughout this part of the process you will be kept informed with regular email updates on how things are progressing on-site and regular site visits to view the works and meet the teams for yourself.

Client Updates

Throughout the process of the build J.M Construction like to keep their clients updated at regular intervals, we do this as frequently as possible to ensure any questions you may have are answered and you are in the loop with everything that is happening. We produce regular updated accounts for the project so that budgets can be reviewed and updated where necessary, we produce regular updated work programmes so we can run through realistic timelines and we also produce regular updated ordering schedules so that you are able to purchase any client supplied items in advance and to save any last minute running around.

Design and Project Management

From the start to finish with your project you will be allocated a one point of contact Project Manager who will be on hand when you need them. They will assist you with updating drawings and designs, ordering schedules, timelines and ensuring that any information you give them is delegated to correct person to be carried out onsite. We have experienced and witnessed in the past that clients require this part of the service so that they do not have to go to site and deal directly with our tradespeople and so that we are confident that nothing is misinterpreted or missed.

Handover and Aftercare

Once we have completed your project we will then walk you through the project to ensure you are happy with the dependable services we have provided. Your allocated Project Manager will walk you though each step of the project and show you how everything works and how to maintain it. we will furnish you with an operations and maintenance manual which includes all of our processes on how we built your project and how to maintain it. we offer a post constriction aftercare package which are tailored to each of our clients so that the project we have delivered is kept in good order and maintained correctly.

Health and Safety

At J.M Construction the safety of our Trades and staff is extremely important to us. We are an ISO45001 Compliant company and this ensures that all of our health and safety procedures create safe working environments for all of our operatives and staff. We perform detailed risk assessments throughout the project and method statements to minimise any risks when carrying out the tasks in hand. Our in house health and safety officer performs regular site visits and weekly meetings with our site managers to ensure that all risks are minimised and the correct procedures are being followed. J.M Construction operates a strict sustainability policy which ensures we are doing everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint, we operate a strict anti-slavery policy to ensure all operatives and staff are paid fairly and their well-being is at our forefront.
